I'm head organizing geek at Soulful Simplicity.
My name means "happy child." With a Japanese-Canadian dad and a Scottish mother, I got a serendipitous combination of Japanese zen + Scottish thrift and practicality :) My family is creative and artistic: my dad was a potter and my mama painted and did beautiful ikebana (flower arranging). I've always been drawn to spaces, art, architecture, organizing and design. I come to this work with a background in graphic design and a great curiosity about mind-body-spirit wellness. Fascinated by how energy works + flows, I immersed myself in the study of energy psychology and feng shui. The spaces we live + work in are wonderful playgrounds to experiment with. Notice how you feel. That's your guidance system. Our surroundings can and should feel good! I’m into simple living, lots of time in fresh air + sunshine, slow travel, and the practice of mindfulness. Mama to two now-grown-up girls , they still keep me laughing pretty well every day, I wake up every day grateful to be alive and have this adventure called life.
