what's "feng shui"?

Feng shui is an art, a wisdom tradition, a science and a living, constantly evolving practice. 

​Feng shui helps us understand the profound impact of our surroundings on us, and helps us learn how to arrange our environments to create harmony – the best possible conditions for us to thrive (in body, mind, spirit).

Feng shui is not a one-time thing. It's an intentional way of living where we continously adjust and fine-tune our surroundings to align with changes inside us and the evolution of our needs and desires. 

What does the term "feng shui" mean?
"Feng" means wind and "shui" means water, which refers to the relationship between the seen and unseen forces of nature. "Wind" represents you (your goals, desires, talents, attitudes and feelings) — that which is unseen. "Water" represents the physical environment — that which is seen.

"Chi" (or "ki") refers to the vital energy of life-force (known as "prana" in yoga) – the invisible, subtle electromagnetic energy that circulates everywhere and is in everything. All colors, sounds, images, materials and structures have a vibration. When you are receiving abundant, healthy chi'i, you will feel better, have more energy and have a greater capacity to actualize your dreams and goals.

• Attracts and distributes a continuous flow beneficial chi'i
• Feels good to you and others who share the space
• Feels comfortable, safe, nurturing or stimulating, as needed (the right "energy" for what you want to be doing)

• Has a harmonious balance of the 5 elements
• Is organized and respects all belongings by giving them a good home
